Terms of Use

Last updated: July 21, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Local Media Skills, including the public catalog, downloadable skill packages, examples, references, and related emails or materials. By using the site or requesting a package, you agree to these Terms.

Who may use the site

Local Media Skills is intended for local media operators, publishers, editorial teams, revenue teams, audience teams, and related business users. You must be able to form a binding agreement and comply with these Terms to use the site.

What we provide

The site provides downloadable AI workflow packages for local media work. A package may include prompts, examples, quality checks, references, metadata, and compatibility notes. Package availability, contents, file names, and compatibility may change as the library improves.

Email unlock and delivery

Some packages require an email address before download. Submitting the form unlocks a browser download link and signs you up for Local Media HQ emails as disclosed on the form. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. We may keep consent and delivery records to operate the service and document your request.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for reviewing, editing, fact-checking, and approving any output created with a skill package.
  • You are responsible for complying with laws, platform rules, privacy obligations, newsroom standards, and business policies that apply to your work.
  • You must make your own publishing, advertising, editorial, financial, and operational decisions.
  • You must maintain appropriate human review before using any AI-generated material in public, business, or reader-facing contexts.

Permitted use

You may use the packages for your own internal editorial, revenue, audience, operations, and local media business workflows. You may adapt them for your organization, train teammates on them, and use them with AI tools you are authorized to access.

Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Use the site or packages for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive activity.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, download controls, or security measures.
  • Submit false, misleading, or third-party information without proper authority.
  • Resell, repackage, or commercially redistribute the packages as a competing library without written permission.
  • Use the packages to create spam, dark-pattern growth tactics, fabricated reporting, fake testimonials, or misleading advertising.
  • Interfere with the operation, availability, or security of the site.

Ownership and license

Local Media Skills, the site design, package structure, copy, examples, and related materials are owned by Local Media HQ or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use downloaded packages for your own local media work, subject to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

No professional advice

The packages are practical workflow materials. They are not legal, financial, tax, employment, privacy, security, journalistic ethics, or other professional advice. You should consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

No guaranteed results

We do not guarantee audience growth, revenue, advertiser response, editorial performance, email deliverability, AI output quality, platform compatibility, or any specific business result. Your results depend on your inputs, judgment, market, audience, tools, and execution.

Third-party services

The site and packages may reference or work with third-party services, including AI tools, email platforms, hosting providers, analytics services, and form tools. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site or package library at any time. We may update packages, change access requirements, correct errors, or remove materials we believe are outdated, risky, or inappropriate.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and packages are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Governing law
